I have managed to find a new coach and he has immediately picked up on my miserable attempts to get to valuetown. This hand is a classic example of my opponent holding a hand he won't bet/bluff but will probably call a river bet given the action so far.
Ps. This hand was played AFTER I was made aware of the problem :-(

I don't think it's terrible against some opponents, but yeah there's not too much reason not to bet as it looks like here he's likely to be on Jx. Where more flush draws are in his range though, it's a balance between picking off bluffs and picking up value, and I've noticed a number of guys lately that I think are more likely to try floating than calling a third barrel.
Hmm, to amend that last thought, if he is on Jx, while he might call a bet, he might also bet when checked to, so it may be a wash. I can't say I really dislike the river check, if you were going to c/r. The extra bet you get out of it sometimes goes a long way to making up for the times he checks behind like here.
